So now is the time to talk to your teen about driving safety.

Talk about turning off cell phones while driving.

Talk about distractions – like friends – in the car.

Limit driving to essential trips –

And limit evening and night driving.

Have your teen practice driving while you're in the car –

And be there if they need help – advice – or a ride.

Because your child isn't the only person at risk.

In crashes involving teen drivers –

Two thirds of those killed or injured are someone else –

People in other vehicles –

Or the teen's passenger.

By teaching teens to be better – safer – drivers –

Parents help protect everyone on the roads.
