New Playground Opens At Park In Monessen

MONESSEN (KDKA) -- The community in Monessen came together to help others on Saturday.
Last year, the city was given a grant to build a playground, and on Saturday, volunteers helped make that possible.
The playground was built in the Herman Mahalich Memorial Park -- a place that never had a playground.
Monessen Mayor Matt Shorraw says the playground will give families who use that park more to do.
