New Pitt Coach Stallings Offers Brandin Knight Position On Staff
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – New Pitt men's basketball head coach Kevin Stallings joined "The Fan Morning Show" on Tuesday and broke some news.
Stallings said that he has offered a job to Brandin Knight, who was a vital part of Jamie Dixon's staff at Pitt and had been under consideration for Pitt's head coaching job himself.
"I met with Brandin yesterday for about, I don't know, gosh, an hour or an hour-and-a-half, and I offered Brandin a job this morning," Stallings said. "And he's supposed to let me know tomorrow what his decision is. So, yes, I'm trying to retain him, and he's going to talk the offer over with his family and get back with me."
Meanwhile, Stallings essentially confirmed the reports that he will be bringing longtime Vanderbilt assistant coach Tom Richardson with him to Pittsburgh.
"That is not official yet, but my anticipation would be that that will happen, yes, but it certainly is not official yet," Stallings said. "But, again, my every expectation is that will happen, yes."
