Evacuations Ordered Due To Gas Leak In Mount Lebanon

MOUNT LEBANON (KDKA) -- Several homes and businesses were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a large gas leak in Mount Lebanon.
A significant amount of gas leaked from a line near Cedar Boulevard and Baywood Avenue.
According to officials at the scene, a construction crew struck a four-inch gas line on Cedar Boulevard.
As a result of the leak, 17 homes and 11 people were evacuated.

Crews stopped the leak and people were allowed to return home.
They're working on a permanent fix.
