Mother Arrested After Police Find Drugs In Car With 1-Year-Old

EAST LIBERTY (KDKA)- A woman from Hampton Township faces charges after police found a large amount of drugs in her car, along with her 1-year-old daughter.

Detectives smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from a car in the parking lot at the Target store in East Liberty on July 3.

The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Elizabeth Stout of Hampton Township, had her 1-year-old daughter in the vehicle with her.

Police searched the car and recovered 50 stamp bags of heroin, a bag of powdered cocaine, a bag of crack cocaine, a bag of marijuana, 14 Oxycodone pills and a digital scale.

Stout faces felony drug charges, along with child endangerment charges.

In the past few days, police in Zone 5 have recovered six hand guns and a large amount of drugs in four separate incidents. That includes 1,100 stamp bags of heroin, as well as cocaine, crack, crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

A total of six people were arrested in the busts that happened between July 3 and July 6.
