Monongahela Incline Closed Briefly Friday Morning
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- After reopening briefly early Friday morning, the Monongahela Incline had to shut down again, complicating the commute for riders who were anticipating using it for their commute to work.
According to Port Authority Alerts, the Mon Incline closed briefly due to power issues.

It has since reopened for a second time and the issues have been resolved.
The incline was closed for 13 weeks prior to Friday morning due to complications from flooding due to a water main break.
The water main burst in two separate places, along Grandview Avenue in Mt. Washington, within a 24-hour period back in January. The break caused damage that required extensive repairs.
The incline has been out of service since Feb. 4.
The repairs included water cleanup, plumbing and electrical service relocation, foundation wall reinforcement and tile floor replacement.
The state Department of Labor and Industry inspected the repairs and authorized the reopening of the incline Thursday.
