Rider Hospitalized After Horses Collide At Meadows Racetrack

NORTH STRABANE, Pa. (KDKA) - A rider was hospitalized after two horses collided at the Meadows Racetrack Tuesday.
The Meadows says a horse took a bad step entering the far turn and fell. Another horse was right behind and couldn't avoid the horse on the ground. It also fell, flipping its driver off.
The Meadows says the rider of the horse that fell "bounced to his feet quickly" but was scheduled to be examined for injuries.
The driver who was flipped off was taken to the hospital.
