Police Investigating 2nd Shooting In 2 Days In McKeesport

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -- For the second day in a row, police and first responders were called to McKeesport for a shooting.

According to Allegheny County Police, the shooting was reported just before 1:40 p.m. in the Harrison Village Housing Complex.

Police officials say that a 22-year-old man was taken to the hospital in stable condition after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the leg.

Allegheny County Police homicide detectives say that a physical altercation ensued between the victim and 17-year-old James Scott. Investigators say that is when Scott pulled out a handgun and proceeded to shoot the victim.

Two other individuals that are associated with the victim returned fire towards Scott as he fled into his residence.

Police say that 22-year-old Tyrone Bynum was one of the individuals involved in firing back. The other individual was unidentified but described as a heavy-set black male driving a white Hyundai Elantra.

According to authorities, Bynum was provided the weapon to fire back by 21-year-old Ricky Sallis.

Bynum is being charged with aggravated assault and firearm violations. Sallis is facing charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.

Scott is now facing charges of aggravated assault, firearms violations, narcotics violations, endangering the welfare of children and tampering with evidence.

On Sunday, police found the body of a 17-year-old male on Tube Works Alley. Ciquann Dudley Jr., of Pittsburgh, was pronounced dead at the scene.
