Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In McKeesport

MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in McKeesport early Monday morning.
According to police, the incident happened in the 1800 block of Forte Alley around 12:30 a.m.
Police say that 26-year-old Andrew Joseph Jefferson, of McKeesport, was found dead at the scene. Officials say that Jefferson was last seen around midnight when he was leaving his father's house.
When officers arrived, they found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
"When they arrived they arrived they found a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head," said Allegheny County Police Leuitenant Andrew Schurman. "He was pronounced dead at the scene. Initially, he did not have any identification on him. We at the autopsy had him fingerprinted and that developed his identity and we were able to contact his family from there."
No arrests have been made.
