The Prince George's County Police Department said previously that Colson died in an "unprovoked attack." The department says Colson was a four-year veteran. Three brothers are charged with the killing.
Officials say the shooting occurred at a community center next to the Landover police station in Prince George's County, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
