Police: Man Sought For Attempting To Purchase $100K Vehicle With Fake ID

NORTH HUNTINGDON (KDKA) - Police in North Huntingdon are searching for a man who attempted to buy a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with a fake ID.
North Huntingdon Police say that the male was attempting to purchase a vehicle worth $100,000.
Officials say that the man entered the Jim Shorkey Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership on Route 30 in Irwin and tried to purchase the vehicle with a fake ID.
"They went to apprehend him (and) he ran out across the street into the woods," said Sean Rattigan, general manager at the dealership.
Assisting North Huntingdon Police are officers from Irwin, Jeanette and Penn Township, according to emergency dispatchers.
Authorities are searching for a white male approximately 5-feet-5-inches tall, 135 pounds who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police called off the manhunt Monday night.
