Police said that as of Wednesday morning, there is no motive and no suspect as they continue to canvass Grant Avenue.

Just after midnight first responders got to the scene and found a man who had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors said they knew him as "Big Meech" and he lived in Duquesne his entire life. The medical examiner identified him as 52-year-old Demetrius T Pirl.

They said they're fed up with the violence and there has to be more safety measures in the area to deter the violence.

"We're just tired of all the violence," one neighbor said. "We're tired of the shootings; we're tired of the deaths. I think we need to get cameras here. If there's some type of program our city can get to help get cameras. Even if you need homeowners to pay $10 towards getting cameras on the vital streets in our city."

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
