Man dies at the hospital following Beechview shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man has died after he was shot in Pittsburgh's Beechview neighborhood. 

Police said the man in his early 20s was injured in a shooting near Beechview and Broadway avenues around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

21-year-old Carl Meyers died at the hospital on Saturday, according to the Medical Examiner's Office. 

A person surrendered to detectives at the scene and he was taken to headquarters for questioning, police said. 

Police had two witnesses and are reviewing surveillance video from the neighborhood. A firearm was also recovered from the scene, police said.
