Man killed in shooting during domestic dispute in Pittsburgh neighborhood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A man is dead and a woman is in custody after a shooting in Pittsburgh's East Hills neighborhood.
The shooting happened on Saturday morning near the Maple Ridge Apartments on Park Hill Drive, and police were called to the scene after reports of multiple rounds fired.
According to police, Charlotte Rashae Hill, 55, shot Antoine Williams after an argument ended in gunfire.
Hill shot Williams from the road after a fight. She also allegedly threatened to shoot someone who saw the shooting. Williams died at the scene and Hill was taken into custody after a brief stand-off with police.
Hill is being charged with criminal homicide, intimidation of witnesses or victims and terroristic threats.
Police Chief Larry Scirotto said that there have been prior domestic violence incidents at this address and that a couple of months ago, the male was arrested for domestic violence.
"They discovered that domestic violence had occurred between a male and female and that the male victim had been shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries."
KDKA-TV also learned from court documents that Hill was charged with harassment in 2008.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing through the Violent Crime Unit.
