Mount Washington Woman Found Dead In Florida
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The family of a local mother murdered in Florida says the whole ordeal feels like a nightmare.
The body of 32-year-old Amy Hatfield, of Mt. Washington, was found July 7 inside her uncle's mobile home in Jacksonville, Florida. Her uncle, 59-year-old Robert Massey, was also killed. Police are not releasing any information about the cause of death or a motive.
Lisa Washington's Report:
"We're not going to see her again," her sister told KDKA's Kym Gable. She did not want to be identified. "It just doesn't seem real. She's definitely going to be missed and it's going to be a long time before any of us get any peace in this."
Amy went to Florida regularly to visit her uncle.
"Amy had a different bond with everyone she knew in different ways. We just want justice for my sister. She didn't deserve this. My uncle didn't deserve this."
