Local Towns Make List Of Best In Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Several Western Pennsylvania towns have made it onto the list of "Best Towns in Pennsylvania."

The list, compiled by Niche, has several towns in the KDKA viewing area listed as some of the best in the Commonwealth. However, no places in Allegheny County made the list.

Among those on the list are:

-Penn Township, Butler County
-Indiana, Indiana County
-Luzerne Township, Fayette County
-Union Township, Lawrence County
-New Castle, Lawrence County
-Ellwood City, Lawrence County
-Oil City, Venango County
-Somerset, Somerset County
-Grove City, Mercer County
-Greenville, Mercer County
-Cumberland Township, Greene County

Niche says it ranks towns by livability taking into account safety, jobs, weather, schools, housing and transportation.
