Local Performers Aim To Fight Bullying In Schools

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There's been a lot of talk about bullying, and whether it played a role in what happened at Franklin Regional High School.

But the school district says it takes the issue of bullying very seriously.

Josh Verbanets and Gab Bonesso are the founders of an anti-bullying program for kids, and have performed at Franklin Regional Middle School and their elementary school several times.

Their show aims to teach kids about the serious effects bullying can have on someone

"There's some really, really serious, and I'd say, socially destructive stuff that can happen when everyone's got a cell phone, sometimes in school," said Josh.

"I also think reality television has hurt the youth," added Gab. "So many kids will say I watch a show that they should not be watching or they're playing 'Call of Duty," which is a video game they should not be playing at 7-years-old and there's a lot of that type of stuff, too. Kids are growing up so fast."

"The Josh and Gab Show" has performances all over the area.
