PENN HILLS (KDKA) -- A middle school in Penn Hills was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon after a reported shooting.
Penn Hills Police Chief Howard Burton says the lockdown was in place at Linton Middle School due to a reported shooting in the area. The lockdown was lifted around 3:30 p.m.
A witness who did not want to be identified said she saw the alleged gunman.
"And I heard boom boom boom boom, like four or five times, and I said, oh my god, what the hell's going on out there? And I went to look outside of the window and I saw him running down the road to the library into the parking lot," she said.
The investigation is ongoing.
No injuries have been reported.
