Police Memorial In Pittsburgh Vandalized With Spray Paint

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Officials are investigating after the police memorial on Pittsburgh's North Shore was vandalized.

On Wednesday, the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was spray-painted with what appears to be the word "deceit," spelled incorrectly, in white paint on the base of the monument.
The rest of the statue seemed to be untouched.
Pittsburgh Public Works crews moved in Thursday morning to start removing the paint.
Earlier this week, Pittsburgh Department of Public Works crews had to remove red paint from the World War I Memorial in Lawrenceville.
Police are not saying if the vandalism cases are connected.
No arrests have been made.
