Shooting Victim Found Lying On Street In Knoxville, Dies At Hospital

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are looking for suspects after a woman was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon in the city's Knoxville section.

According to Pittsburgh Police, the woman was found lying in the road in the 200-block of McKinley Street around 1:45 p.m.

She was suffering from at least one gunshot wound and taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital where she died a short time later. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identifies the woman as 23-year-old Shanique Sanders of Homestead.

Investigators say five to six young men were spotted running toward Alice Street just after the shooting.
