'Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad'

Pittsburgh played a significant role during the Underground Railroad, and now a play about Harriet Tubman's role in helping slaves flee the South is geared specifically toward children.

'Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad' comes to Pittsburgh

Prime Stage Theatre is putting on the "Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad." 

The cast met with one of Tubman's relatives to ensure the authenticity of Tubman's life and legacy.  The play, interspersed with spiritual songs, is for children ages 5 and older and their families. It's at the New Hazlett Theater from Jan. 20-29.

Child's Pajama Recall

Some children's one-piece pajamas are being recalled due to a risk of burn injury. The Shanghai Jinhui Gardening Center Newcosplay Sleepers sold on Amazon do not meet federal flammability standards. Parents are being advised to not allow their kids to wear them and to return them for a refund. You can get more details at this link.

Ross Candle Recall

Ross Stores are recalling more than 5,000 candles, saying that the Taylor and Finch six-wick scented candles can combust while lit, which can cause the glass container to break. The recall affects the "Spiced Apple and Rosewood" and "Cedarwood and Clove" scents.
