Missing Beaver Co. Native Jordan Lampus Found Alive In Seattle

SEATTLE (KDKA) -- The young woman reported missing from Erie earlier this week has been found alive in Washington state.

The Lampus family hopped on a plane Thursday morning to make their way to Seattle to see Jordan, who is currently hospitalized.

She wasn't wearing her glasses, something she normally has on.

Her mother, Tina Lampus, tells KDKA's Bob Allen that when they learned of the news, they caught the first flight to Seattle from Cheyenne, Wyoming.

They had been in Cheyenne for several days after police discovered Jordan's 2006 blue Toyota van parked on the side of the road.

Officers say the circumstances were suspicious.

"The police said they could see inside the car that the laptop was still inside, but they couldn't see other than pillows, clothes and blankets," Tina said.

Jordan's mom says her daughter was supposed to be at their house in Beaver Falls last Saturday, but when she didn't show up, they drove to her apartment in Erie.

That's where they learned her phone and a bag of clothes were missing.

It's also where the family reported her missing.

"She gets a lot of migraines, but she's very upbeat, likes to be positive, she smiles a lot and is very friendly to everybody," Tina said.

Her brother Chris says he's just ready for Jordan to come home.

"It's kind of been like a nightmare, but at the same time, we're real close to coming to the end," he says. "We're real close to bringing Jordan home. And that's what everybody's waiting for, that's what everybody's looking for."

One of her brothers talked to Jordan, who says she said she feels okay, just tired.

At this time, it's not clear why she went to Seattle or how she got there.
