'Infernal': New Attraction Debuts At ScareHouse

ETNA (KDKA) -- There are only so many scares you can fit into a ScareHouse without a major expansion project.

"I'm about to take you to Hell," jokes Scott Simmons, owner of the nationally acclaimed haunt in Etna. He shows us a new attraction called "Infernal."

"The whole idea is a TV crew is trying to do a paranormal investigation. And it goes a little wrong. It's during the live investigation that they accidentally open a portal to Hell."

Hate it when that happens. Now in its 17th year, ScareHouse has become known as one of the ten scariest Halloween haunts in America.

"This year in particular we've changed so much, and sort of made it much more intense," the owner says. "Much scarier than we've done before. But still with a lot of humor. We're having some fun with it."

Scott Simmons and his staff spend a whole year preparing the 101-year-old Elks Club building in Etna for 24 days of Halloween scares.
