IKEA Recalls Floor, Table Lamps For Shock Hazard

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- IKEA is recalling a floor lamp and two table lamps due to potential shock hazards.

According to the company, the GOTHEM floor lamp, 18-inch table lamp and 14-inch table lamp are all affected by the recall due to the possibility of cables being damaged during manufacturing. They say this could cause the cables to contact the base of the lamp, creating a potential electric shock hazard.

These particular styles of lamps have been available for sale in U.S. stores since October 2015. Sales ceased in February 2016.
