Humane Society, Uber Teaming Up To Deliver Puppies To Your Workplace

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- What's cuter than puppies playing? You can actually have some puppies delivered to your work on Thursday in Pittsburgh, thanks to Uber.

Uber has done it in other cities, but this is the first time here.

They're paired with the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society to make it happen.

"When I first heard it, I was like, "Oh my gosh! Let's do this! We have to do this!" said Mary Withrow from Western Pa. Humane Society. "What's cuter than puppies riding around in Uber cars?"

Starting at 11 a.m., you can order some pups, if you have the Uber app on your phone.

"How do you tell your employees you value them more than having, you know, the middle of the day, puppies show up at your desk!" said Withrow.

The visits last 15 minutes and cost $30. The money goes to the Western Pa. Humane Society.

If you end up falling in love with one of your canine visitors, Withrow says the animals will up for adoption after the visits are over at 3 p.m.

"If you fall in love with one of them, they'll be back at the shelter at 3:30 on the North Side, and they will be first come-first served," said Withrow.
