Houston Nutt: Pitt Can Rise To The Top Again
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – CBS college football analyst Houston Nutt joined The Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to react to the national championship game and to discuss the state of Pitt football as the program enters the Pat Narduzzi era.
During the interview, Nutt expressed his belief that Pitt football can return to its former glory and become a winning program again, simply because history can repeat itself.
"I do think when there is tradition- and there has been tradition at that school- I do think you can win," Nutt said. "It takes a tremendous effort, with an investment from the school, from the [athletic director] to get the coaches the things that they need. But it's been proven that you can win there. It's not easy, and it's going to take time. Everybody wants to win yesterday, and in this world it doesn't happen that way... I think it can happen. I really do. I think it can happen because it has happened before."
