2-year-old child killed in Shaler Township house fire
SHALER, Pa. (KDKA) — Five people, including a 1-month-old child, were taken to the hospital after a fire in Shaler Township on Friday.
Crews were called to the house fire on Fall Run Road around 9:45 p.m. Police said five people, including a 1-month-old and a 2-year-old child, got out of the house but were taken to the hospital.
The 2-year-old was pronounced dead later at the hospital.
Four firefighters also were taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Allegheny County Police homicide detectives and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
