Man Killed, Teen Wounded In Hill District Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead and a teen girl wounded in the Hill District.
According to police, a man and the teenager were shot just before 11 p.m. Monday in the Bedford Dwellings housing complex on Chauncey Drive.
The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identifies him as 34-year-old Isaac Harrison.
The 15-year-old girl was found outside an apartment, and then taken to a hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
A neighbor who KDKA spoke with didn't want to be identified.
"I'm sorry to hear about that. I know the victim that got killed. I see him once in a blue moon," said the neighbor. "Rest in peace. I'm sorry to hear he's gone. You never know what might happen."
Harrison's childhood friend wasn't available for an interview, but she told KDKA's Amy Wadas over Facebook that Harrison was an outgoing guy who was respectful and adored his kids.
As far as the investigation goes, police say a small fight broke out before the shots went off.
"Whatever happened, should of never happen, because everybody knows everybody up here. Other than that, they should know and speak up," the neighbor said.
