Heavy Rains Overnight Extend Flash Flood Alerts Around Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Emergency crews had their hands full overnight as more rain moved through the area, which caused a variety of flooding issues.

In West Deer Township, a man was stuck in his vehicle in the 2100-block of Saxonburg Boulevard. Flooding caused the vehicle to stall, but the man was able to get out safely.

In Frazer Twp., crews worked overnight after parts of Days Run Road were flooded.

Then, in Natrona Heights, the Sylvan Pool filled with runoff water. Firefighters were called and several residents in the area were evacuated.
