Hampton Twp. Bank Robbed At Gunpoint

HAMPTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are looking for two men who robbed a Hampton Township bank on Saturday morning.

The robbery happened around 10:20 a.m. at the Citizens Bank on Route 8.

According to police, one of the suspects brandished a small, dark-colored handgun. The two men got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The first suspect is described as being approximately 5-foot-9 with a thin to medium build. The second suspect was about 6-feet tall with a medium to large build.

Police say they got away in a silver-colored Hyundai Accent or Sonata, possibly headed south on Route 8.

Customers were inside the bank when the robbery happened. While police say the witnesses were shaken up, no one was injured.
