Jake Guentzel, Tristan Jarry, And Metropolitan Division Win 2022 NHL All-Star Game

LAS VEGAS (KDKA) - Jake Guentzel, Tristan Jarry, the 2022 Metropolitan Division All-Stars will split $1 million as the champions of the 2022 NHL All-Star Game!

On a weekend When the NHL's best came together to showcase all the league has to offer, Jake Guentzel made history.

With his nomination to the NHL All-Star Game in Vegas, he became the first Nebraska-born NHL player to be selected to an NHL All-Star Game.

Then, in the Metropolitan Division's semifinal game against the Pacific Division, Guentzel scored in the second half to give his division a 5-3 lead.

It ultimately proved to be the game-winning goal for the Metropolitan Division.

Jarry faced eight shots, made five saves, and posted a .625 save percentage in his 10 minutes of gameplay.

Guentzel, Jarry, and the rest of the Metropolitan Division All-Stars took on the Central Division in the finals of the 2022 NHL All-Star Game.

In that game, Tristan Jarry came in to start the second half, with the Metropolitan Division leading 4-2.

Jarry gave up a goal to Joe Pavelski, which pulled the Central within one.

From there, he shut the door, protecting their lead and bringing home the championship for Metropolitan Division. Jarry made 14 saves on 15 shots and posted a .933 in the championship game.

Meanwhile, Guentzel assisted on Flyers' captain Claude Giroux's second goal of the game, giving him a goal and two assists on the day.

The Penguins return to action on Tuesday in Boston when they take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m.
