Greg Cosell Previews Quarterbacks, Receivers In NFL Draft
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- The NFL Scouting Combine will take place in Indianapolis Feb. 19 to 24.
Johnny Manziel, of Texas A&M, is one of the top quarterbacks in the draft.
Greg Cosell, of NFL Films, told Starkey and Mueller that where Manziel is drafted depends on how each team evaluates him.
"There's a lot of things that you would view as positives. There's a lot of things that might be concerning," Cosell said. "There's an inconsistency in his overall game. You have to decide where you fall on that."
Meanwhile, the Steelers have a need at wide receiver, with both Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery being free agents.
Starkey asked Cosell about a receiver that fits the profile of someone with size, who can win jump balls, and who is strong and athletic.
Cosell said that between Kelvin Benjamin and Mike Evans, Cosell would give the slight edge to Benjamin.
"I would probably like Kelvin Benjamin a little more, the Florida State kid," Cosell said. "I think he's a little more naturally athletic and a little quicker than Mike Evans, and they're relatively the same size."
