Gov. Wolf Predicts Clinton 'Will Do Quite Well In Pennsylvania'

PHILADELPHIA (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA/AP) - A glass ceiling is shattering at the Democratic National Convention as Hillary Clinton ascends to the presidential nomination. Tuesday's roll call of the states will make her the first woman to lead a major party into a White House race.

Gov. Tom Wolf, who is also serving as the chair of the Pennsylvania delegation, joined the "KDKA Morning News" and says Pennsylvania is a "very important" state for Clinton to win.

Wolf says that Pennsylvania is, "very supportive of the things that Hillary supports...I was elected two years ago based on the idea and issues of fairness and between education, health care, non-discrimination, minimum wage, all those things matter to Pennsylvanians and those are the things that she is pushing."

Pennsylvania is an important state for the candidates to win with 20 electoral votes up for grabs and Wolf predicts Clinton, "will do quite well in Pennsylvania."

Security is tight in Philadelphia and Wolf says so far the only concern is the heat.

"It's really really hot and it's going to be really hot today. Other than that, I think so far it's been a very good convention," said Wolf.
