Furry Tails: Snuggles & Coco Are Waiting For Good Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Chocolate Chip
Animal Rescue League
Coco is an older dog who needs a second chance at a loving home! She's well-behaved and needs a family that will enjoy her big, wet kisses!
Animal Rescue League's Pet Profile:
If you are considering an older and calmer dog to adopt, please come in and meet Chocolate Chip (or "Coco" for short). This pooch is around 7-years-old and, yes, has a few gray hairs on her muzzle. She lived with kids in her former home and was good with them. She's house-trained but it never hurts to do a little reinforcement after a dog has been in a shelter environment.
Coco knows lots of commands (sit, down, paw, roll over) so you won't need to spend a lot of training time with her. That's one of many advantages of adopting an older dog. Volunteers have commented that Coco is smart and listens well. She recently went on a cage break with a volunteer and was very friendly toward the other dogs. So it's certainly possible that she could join an existing canine home, but our adoptions counselors would want to supervise the doggie introduction. Most of all, Miss Coco loves to cuddle, hang out with people, and give kisses.
If Coco seems like the dog for you, please contact her volunteer friend Sue at adoptadog.pgh@gmail.com or call our Adoption Department at 412-345-7300 x215.
