Furry Tails: Puck, Bucatini & Baxter Are Waiting For Forever Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Puck
Animal Rescue League
Puck has been waiting for a second chance at a forever family for far too long now! He's a bit shy, but once he gets to know you, he'll be your cuddle buddy for life!
Puck is handsome grey and white older gentleman who came to ARL when his owner was no longer able to take care of him. He is a very sweet, affectionate boy who loves being petted and being brushed. This fella is a lap cat through and through and would love to cuddle and keep you company. He loves to sleep with his family at night and is a total snuggle bug (although he's not too keen on being held).
Puck is in a foster home because he's extremely shy in new surroundings. He needs a loving and understanding family who will give him the love and patience he needs in a new home. Once he's comfortable, he will always be ready to greet you and come out for pets and cuddles. In fact, even when he's nervous or scared, he always wants pets! Puck loves receiving love and pets so much sometimes he even drools a bit while he's purring (and he has a purr that just won't stop)!
He would prefer to be an only cat or be in a home with other calm cats and is looking for a home without dogs or young children. He was quite a bit overweight when he came to ARL, but has done a wonderful job of getting healthy and needs a family who supports his new lifestyle!
If you have a calm home and a big heart then Puck is the perfect cat for you! For more information about Puck please contact swellington@animalrescue.org.

Bucatini
Animal Friends
Bucatini is a handsome kitty with an everlasting worried look! But don't make him worry anymore about finding a forever home… he would really like to find his forever family!
Animal Friends Pet Profile:
Bucatini is a handsome boy whose furrowed brow makes him look perpetually worried – and it is so endearing! He has been at Animal Friends since May of 2015 after being rescued by our Humane Investigations Department. Bucatini was initially shy but has come out of his shell and is a wonderful cat. He loves being pet and held, and enjoys the company of other cats. Bucatini has had some digestive issues but these are managed well with a grain-free diet, which he will be required to continue in his new home. Don't make this boy wait any longer for a loving home!
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Baxter
Western Pa. Humane Society
Look at Baxter's puppy dog eyes! This guy is just begging for a loving home! He may be shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he'll love you forever!
Western Pa. Humane Society's Pet Profile:
Hi I'm BAXTER! I am a very sweet guy who is ready to find his fur-ever family! I was brought to the shelter because my previous owners were moving and could not take me with them. I am a nervous guy when you first meet me, but I do warm up quickly. Though I am cautious, I am social and enjoy getting all the love I can get! I am very appropriate and polite with other dogs. I may do well in a multi-dog home. I also have lived with cats before and was friendly towards them. If you have any animal friends in the home, please ask a staff member on how we should be properly introduced. I would do best in a home with members that are 12 and older. If you are looking for a sweet gentleman, please come down to the shelter and meet me today!
