Furry Tails: Petunia Is Searching For A Good Home
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Petunia
Animal Friends
Petunia is a wonderful dog that had a tough go of things before ending up at the animal shelter. But now this playful girl, who loves to cuddle, is looking for a loving place to call her forever home!
Animal Friends says:
Petunia, a sweet 6-year-old Pit Bull mix, was brought to Animal Friends as a stray. When she came to us, she had a terrible skin condition that was very painful and had made the majority of her coat fall out. Her coat was so thin in fact, that all last summer and fall she had to wear a t-shirt outside to avoid getting sunburned!
Finally cleared for adoption in December, her health has continued to improve and she looks great now. Although not a fan of cats or other dogs, she is very friendly towards people and would love to snuggle with you all day long. She likes riding in the car and was house-trained when she spent about a month in a foster home. She loves to chew on toys and would really love puzzle games where she has to work for a treat. She loves to run in our play yards and might make a great running companion.
You could say that this pretty girl has blossomed into a real beauty!
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!
