Furry Tails: Faye & Girl Are Waiting For Forever Homes

Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Faye

Animal Friends

Once a stray, Faye is a dog that really needs the love a forever family can give! In return, she'll shower you with as many wet, sloppy kisses as you can handle!

Animal Friend Pet Profile:
Faye is a lovely brindle dog with an energetic disposition! She loves to run around and play, but is more interested in people than dogs. She is soft and wiggly but doesn't have a lot of manners. She definitely needs someone who is willing to teach her how to behave in a home. Because she was found as a stray, we don't know much of her history. She has some scarring on her backend which is suspected to be from burns and then flea infestation. She is being treated for the hair loss but won't let it hold her back!

Faye eagerly gives kisses and loves to go on walks but is pretty strong. Because of her high energy and strength we are recommending that she go to a home with children ages five and older. Stop by today to see if Faye is the one for you!

If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Girl

Western Pa. Humane Society

This Girl needs a second chance at a loving home! And as long as you protect her from the big bad vacuum cleaner, she'll love you forever!

Western Pa. Humane Society Pet Profile:
Hello there, my name is Girl! I am a sweet, lovely girl who is ready to find her fur-ever home. I was brought to the shelter because my previous owner was no longer able to care for me. I am a social, young girl who does need some help on gaining some manners. I have lived with dogs in the past and was friendly towards them but I can come on a little strong or intense when I meet a new dog. If you have any doggie friends in the home please ask a staff member on how we should be properly introduced. It is noted that I do pull on my leash and I am afraid of vacuum cleaners. If you are looking for a sweet girl to give you a ton of love, please come down to the shelter and meet me today!
