Furry Tails: Chance & Janet Are Searching For Good Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Chance
Animal Friends
Are you in need of a plucky little sidekick? Well, you may want to give Chance a chance! He loves to play and bounce around, but also makes a good lap dog!
From Animal Friends:
Chance is the kind of dog that defies the stereotypes we have of "older" dogs. Chance is 10-years-young and has energy and a bounce in his step. He loves to play fetch with soft, squeak toys and enjoys long walks outdoors. He's a superstar in our play groups here at the shelter. He gets along with nearly all the other dogs, big or small!
Chance has let us know that he'd prefer an adult-only home, as he doesn't like to be interrupted during dinner time (It's the most important time of the day!) and is a little uncomfortable with excessive handling. However, if you let him move at his own pace, he will climb in your lap and happily watch some TV with you.
Chance is a spunky little guy who would make a wonderful companion. Come meet him today!
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Janet
Animal Rescue League
Janet is an energetic little girl who is looking for committed owners in a bunny-loving home! This little hopper needs a place where she can be adventurous but also settle down for a nice cuddle!
From Animal Rescue League:
Janet is one of our young chocolate-colored mini rexes. She's still very young and she has a lot of energy. She likes to hop around with her brother Jack, and both of them are always eager to eat their leafy greens. Janet enjoys her freedom but will certainly tolerate sitting on your lap for some pets and cuddles. What she would love more than anything is a home where she can spend the rest of her life hopping around and making friends with humans. Could your home be the one?
To find out more about how to adopt Janet, visit the Animal Rescue League's website at this link!
