Furry Tails: Aster & Petunia Are Searching For Good Homes
Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Aster
Animal Friends
Loveable and adventurous, Aster is looking for a loving family that's always ready to play and be on-the-go! If you're looking for an outgoing pup to join your home, she might just be the girl for you.
Animal Friends says:
"This gal is a highly energetic, playful pup who can't wait for her next adventure! Aster is very friendly and thrives on the attention. This young gal enjoys the simple pleasures of life and delights in exploring. Aster has had a grand time on off-site group walks.
"Aster would thrive with a family who is willing to invest time and energy in helping her become a more mannerly companion. She is a bit excitable and sometimes pulls while walking on leash. Since Aster is very bright and eager to please, positive reinforcement techniques would be extremely effective in helping her learn desirable behaviors.
"This wonderful girl would be a perfect fit for an active family with children over eight. She also would prefer to be the only dog in the household."
If you can help, come to Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15237 or call 412-847-7002. For more information on how you can adopt any of the pets at Animal Friends, visit their website here!

Petunia
Animal Rescue League
Petunia may be small, but she's got a larger than life personality! She's looking for a forever family that's always ready for some fun, and also likes puppy hugs every now and then!
The Animal Rescue League says:
"Meet Petunia! A pint-sized pittie at 31 pounds with a big personality. This spunky 2-year-old is happiest chasing a tennis ball or crawling into to your lap for some cuddles. Petunia knows "sit" and her eager to please personality should make her a good student. She came in as a stray, so we are still getting to know this little cutie. Come down to the shelter and meet Miss Petunia for yourself!"
