The harrowing rescue of a tiny kitten in Singapore is capturing the world's attention.
Video of the rescue mission was posted to the SPCA Singapore Facebook page on World Animal Day, and has since been noticed by several international news outlets.
According to SPCA Singapore, the kitten got stuck on a 12th story building ledge.
After some terrifying moments of the kitten backing away to avoid the animal rescue worker's equipment, officials managed to safely bring it to safety.
The rescue organization says police officers stood on the ground below with an open blanket as a precaution.

The rescue workers then advised the kitten's owner to put up mesh over the windows and use gates to keep the tiny animal from getting into the places it should not be.
The organization posted this statement: "World Animal Day reminds us that we can make a difference with small acts of kindness such as reporting cases of animals in distress or creating a safe home for our pets."
