Former Steeler Ryan Clark Announces Retirement From NFL

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Former Pittsburgh Steeler Ryan Clark has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Clark, having wrapped up his career with the Washington Redskins, broke into the league with the New York Giants where he played just two seasons.

Clark also played two years with the Redskins before coming to the Steelers where played eight seasons.

Clark's career wrapped up with one final season in Washington after the Steelers let him walk in free agency following the 2013 season.

For his career, the 13-year NFL veteran racked up 929 total tackles, four sacks and 16 interceptions and was named a Pro Bowler following the 2011 season. Clark also forced 4 fumbles in his career and recovered eight.

According to a press release, Clark will continue his broadcasting career with ESPN.
