BETHEL PARK (KDKA) -- Former Bethel Park Councilman Brandon Colella, who resigned in disgrace last month, is now facing new criminal charges. They are the latest in a string of charges he finds himself mired in.
Colella is now in jail on $10,000 bail.
According to Mount Lebanon Police, an officer on Wednesday spotted an erratic driver in a white pickup truck on Washington Road.
The truck was stopped a short distance away, and Colella, who was behind the wheel, failed a field sobriety test. He was then booked on charges of DUI and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Just last month, in Bethel Park, Colella was arrested and charged with trying to sell Adderall, an amphetamine, at a local restaurant.
The previous month, in Jefferson Hills, Colella was accused of fraudulent business practices in a home improvement fraud case involving his construction company. Then, at a hearing, a district judge warned Colella that if he was arrested again, he'd go to jail.
