Following Win, McCutchen Does His Best Marshawn Lynch Impression
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Pirates snapped a five-game losing streak last night with a 7-2 clubbing of the Cincinnati Reds.
Following the game, the players in the Pirates' clubhouse were loose and had a little fun with the media.
Andrew McCutchen was the most notable by impersonating Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch.
Lynch made headlines for his one-word or one-line answers in media interviews.
Here's a refresher:
As for Cutch, he answered the first three questions with a simple, "Yeah." However, he couldn't keep a straight face anymore and busted out laughing.
Take a look:
Cutch has been struggling to start the season, but he was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a walk in last night's win. He is now hitting .210 this season with 2 homers and 14 RBIs.
Despite the slow start, he's continuing to work hard and is confident things will take care of themselves.
"I'm not going to change my approach. I'm just going to go out there and keep working hard and know that I'm Andrew McCutchen. Not to you know, not to say it in a very cocky way or anything like that, but just the fact of I know what I'm capable of doing. I have a pretty good track record. And I know if I keep going out there and playing, balls are going to fall," he said.
The Pirates open up a three-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals at PNC Park tonight at 7:05 p.m.
