First Alert Weather: Hot, humid, and stormy over the next 24 hours
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - This is going to be a busy 24 hours here in western Pennsylvania with the hottest and most humid airmass of the year rolling in this afternoon to the evening hours.

The energy from the heat will likely fuel strong storms that I expect to roll through on Friday morning.
Similar to what we saw last night, there are a couple of ways this can go tonight. The most likely way this goes is with a big push of wind rolling through first maybe as early as 11 p.m. tonight, giving way to rainy conditions Friday morning.
It does appear that rain and storms should be out of here before the Friday morning commute.
The other big story for today is the heat and humidity with today likely being the most humid day of the year. I have dew points hitting the mid-70s late this afternoon into the overnight hours.
The heat and humidity will likely fuel overnight storms. While there is no uncertainty when it comes to humidity levels for the day, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding high temperatures.
Something as little as cloudy skies turning sunny for 10 minutes will have a big impact on where we land for highs. I have Pittsburgh hitting 87 for today's high with noon temperatures near 80.
Morning temperatures will be in the upper 60s and 70s.
Looking ahead, the heat will break this weekend with Saturday and Sunday highs near 80. I expect a quick uptick in our comfort levels on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures and humidity up slightly.
Highs should hit the mid-80s on these days.
A powerful cold front will push highs to the low 70s next Wednesday.
