Firefighters Respond To Three-Alarm Homewood Fire

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- Firefighters responded Friday evening to a three-alarm fire in Homewood.

Firefighters were on the scene at a fire in an apartment building on North Braddock Avenue around 10 p.m. Friday.

The fire broke out in the 3-story building's attic and on the roof. Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but four apartments were damaged.

Everyone escaped from the building safely, but some residents are not allowed back into the building because of water damage. The Red Cross is helping those residents.

No residents or firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
