Firefighter Injured While Battling Hill District Blaze

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) – One firefighter was injured while battling a fire in the Hill District Saturday morning.

According to emergency dispatchers, the fire broke out in the 3400-block of Webster Avenue around 11 a.m.

A firefighter suffered a leg injury when the hose he was hooking up to a hydrant became wrapped around his leg.

The fireman was taken to the hospital to be treated for a possible broken leg or ankle.
