FedEx Subsidiary Moving From 1 Pittsburgh Suburb To Another

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (AP) - A subsidiary of FedEx is moving from one Pittsburgh suburb to another, and taking 350 jobs with it.

Genco is based in O'Hara Township and was purchased by FedEx last year. The company plans to move to Cranberry Woods office park in Cranberry Township, about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh, in September.

Genco provides logistical services, such as processing returned products, warehousing and contract packaging.

It has been located in Papercraft Park just east of Pittsburgh.

The company is moving into a building that housed a Verizon call center until May 2014. Verizon transferred or laid of about 600 workers when it closed the center.
