FBI: Homestead Bank Robbery Suspect Carried Case, Claimed To Have Bomb

HOMESTEAD (KDKA) -- Police and the FBI are hoping to get the public's help in identifying the man wanted for robbing a bank in Homestead Tuesday afternoon.

According to the FBI, the suspect was caught on surveillance video inside the First Commonwealth Bank on Waterfront Drive just before noon.

Investigators say he was carrying a black, square-shaped, hard, cube-type case in which he claimed to have a bomb.

The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build and a beard. His hair is described as being dirty blonde to light brown.

He was dressed in business casual clothing and had on dark sunglasses.

Authorities say he got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

The FBI, Allegheny County Police and Homestead Police are investigating.
