It all started around 1:25 a.m. on East Main Street, near the intersection with Areford Boulevard in South Union Township.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office was called to the scene where the driver of the car was pronounced dead. She has been identified by state police as 31-year-old Tiffany Minerd of Hopwood.
State police say they believe speed may have been a factor in the crash, as her car lost control and crossed into the other lane of travel
People were inside the first home, but it's unclear if anyone was home in the second house at the time of the crash. No one inside the houses was hurt.
