Ex-Pitt Coach Howland Says Panthers Have Great Chance To Beat Syracuse
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Former Pitt and UCLA head coach Ben Howland joined The Cook and Poni Show on Wednesday morning before Pitt hosts undefeated and No. 1 ranked Syracuse at the Pete.
Howland seems to think his former Panthers have a good chance to upset the Orange at home tonight.
"Great chance," Howland said. "They have a great home court there and it's hard for any road team to win there."
Howland said there is no need for any pre-game speeches, the players will be up for this one.
"There is a lot riding on this one," Howland said.
Pointing out a win tonight could really bolster the team's seeding.
Howland expects this game to be a defensive game and it will be in the 50s or 60s at best.
